i would love to hear how you did those particle effects for the fire

I'm assuming after effects, but which one?

Good guess! I imagine it could have been done quicker in after effects, but since I am more apt for animating in Flash I did it there. The only thing I did in After Effects was create a spotlight layer that created a touch more ambience from the fire. Also, Flash couldn't properly export the thing, but After Effects has a very nice exporter.
To make the sparks look like that in Flash, I tweened a spark drawing with a blur+glow-filtered movie clip inside, and put it to a motion guide.
